"I Am Ali" Festival Returns This Summer

 June 1-10, 2018
Join Louisville in celebrating our famous son, the late, great Muhammad Ali, during the Second Annual “I Am Ali” festival.  The 2018 “I Am Ali” festival will mark the second anniversary of Muhammad's passing and will include local arts and cultural groups, performances and events, films, entertainment, and other activities throughout the city that connect with and reinforce Muhammad Ali’s great legacy as a global citizen, athlete, and humanitarian.
Local attractions, hotels, and restaurants will offer programming, discounts, and special Ali-related events during the 10 day festival, focusing on Ali’s giving spirit, humanitarianism, and his love for Louisville.

Public Ali Center's "I Am Ali" festival events include: 
  • Stories of Ali: Ali's West End on June 2nd
  • Ali Center Night at Le Moo on June 3rd
  • Ali Center Night at the Village Anchor on June 4th
  • Soul Cleanse Yoga (in collaboration with the Ali Center) on June 6th 
  • Closing Celebration on June 10th 

Autism Friendly Night

April 16th, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
In partnership with Families for Effective Autism Treatment (FEAT) of Louisville and other local attractions, the Muhammad Ali Center will host a special Autism-Friendly night at the museum. This event is FREE and open to the public. 
If sensitive to loud noises, attendees are encouraged to bring their own headphones. 
The Center's staff has been certified as an Autism Friendly Business by FEAT.

Daughters of Greatness: 
Dr. Olenda Johnson

April 27th, 8:30 - 10:00 a.m.
Join us in welcoming our upcoming Daughters of Greatness speaker: Dr. Olenda Johnson
Dr. Johnson is Professor of Strategic Leadership and Leader Development at the U. S. Naval War College – a graduate-level institution for highly select military officers and civilians.
A hot breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m. The program will follow from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Tickets are available here

Shining a Light: Experiences of Refugee Women

Open Until June 24th 
The Center's annual international photography contest and exhibit is on display until June 24th. Informed by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the Women's Refugee Commission, the photographs depict refugee women's actual experiences. Learn more here

America to Zanzibar is the first immersive, interactive exhibit of its kind in the United States designed especially for children and families. It is about the diversity of Muslim cultures in our city, our country, and the world and offers children and families exciting hands-on experiences to explore in the areas of art, architecture, music, design, travel, trade and more!
