Wine Road's Summer Wine Trail |
|
|
It's a go! Saturday July 8th / 11:00-4:00 / $50 per person
Wineries need to pour a minimum of 2 wines per ticket holder, "summer wines" - think White, Rosé and Sparkling (obviously every winery needs to pour what works for them).
Sign-up online via Eventbrite: HERE and list the 2 wines you are pouring, for our online program. We will also create a Google map, to the participating wineries.
We're keeping it simple - no wristbands, glasses or RSVP lists - the guest will simply have to show their ticket (on their phone) at each winery they visit. These will be "walk-in tasters".
Deadline to sign-up is May 15th - Tickets on sales May 19th
Our goal is to sell 100 tickets - some of you may see 6 people, or 20 or some may not see any ticket holders. We will let you know every week how many tickets have sold.
We will promote via our consumer newsletter June 1st, (50,000 subscribers) via social and with some streaming audio ads via the Chronicle. QUESTIONS ask Debbie
If this works, we can do a Fall Trail, Winter Trail, Spring Trail - 1-day mini events.

Last year they had 1200 people attend and the wineries did very well selling their wine clubs and wine. Although all financial transactions had to take place at their wineries, it seem to workout well for them. This year they will have the capability to take 2000 attendee's. Here are the links:

FLIPBOARD: Wine Road has had some amazing success connecting with NEW wine buyers for our events with our digital ads on Flipboard. This is a curated news app, which you may want to investigate for your own marketing needs. We now have our podcast, our blog and our varietal of the month connected to our account, so as people are "searching" - our blogs, events, etc may pop up in their news feeds. As with all digital, you can target income, location, interests etc when advertising. We are spending $10,000 per campaign, so its not inexpensive, but the results have been impressive. Our contact is Tony Biel.

Silicon Valley Bank’s Direct-to-Consumer Survey is still open
SVB has undergone many changes since initially announcing the 2023 Direct to Consumer Survey last month. Fortunately, they were acquired and continue operations as “Silicon Valley Bank, a division of First Citizens Bank.” The entire Wine Division team is intact, and they have continued to serve their customers as usual throughout the last month.
Your support is critical to making this year’s report the best one yet. This link provides a preview of the survey questions.

Ron Rubin Winery has financially supported our Wine Road Podcast for the second year - covering all costs associated with producing the show. Without that support we would not have been able to continue. Thank you!
Our show was just listed as #3 in the Top 70 Wine Podcasts.
