Graduating Seniors: Get Your Global Commencement Accessories Now!

Graduating seniors who studied abroad or international students who wish to honor their home countries may wear special sashes or lapel pins during Commencement. Here are a few useful sources:

The Miami University Brick and Ivy Bookstore offers a selection of Herff-Jones sashes. They can order sashes for any country that is not currently in stock. Allow 3 to 10 days for delivery.
Vision Wear offers a wide variety of graduation sashes and lapel pins. Vision Wear products are also sold at Amazon.com

Global Friendship Spring Picnic

Join students from around the world and local community members for a picnic! Games, fried chicken, veggies and dip, and drinks will be provided. Attendees are encouraged to bring a game or dish to share.

Meet Jennifer Blair

It's not every day that you meet someone who decided to hike across the entire state of Iowa to reconnect with her home after 10 years of living abroad. International student advisor Jennifer Blair has done that and more. With a background in history and law, she brings a unique perspective to her role at Global Initiatives.

Graduating seniors and recent alumni are invited to attend our final information session for this semester to learn about opportunities in the Fulbright U.S. Student competition for academic year 2023-2024.

Spring 2022 will be a semester to remember as the Institute for Learning in Retirement commemorates our 25th anniversary. We invite you to join us on Wednesday, May 4, 11:30 a.m., at the Courtyard by Marriott, Hamilton as we celebrate a quarter-century of Engaging, Enriching, and Enlightening our community of lifelong learners.
