Dear parents and families:
It was such a joy to see many of you during Move-in and Parent & Family Orientation. As part of First-year Orientation, your student got an exciting start to their WashU journey with leadership and purpose sessions, Career Conversations, “In the Lou” excursions—with the week culminating in traditions to celebration of the Class of 2030 with the W photo, Convocation, and Party in the Park.
These early experiences represent the first steps in their ongoing journey of academic and personal growth as well as the beginning of many unforgettable moments of their college experience.
As the semester begins, please take note of the information below:
|
-
Well-being Wednesdays begin again on September 9. Your student can hang out with WashU Comfort Dogs Bear and Brookie, grab lunch from the food truck, pick up a fresh veggie box, and learn about other ways to prioritize wellness every Wednesday.

- We put together A Family’s Guide to the First Semester to help you gain a general understanding of what your student may be experiencing during their first few months at WashU. I hope you find this resource helpful for your family!
-
Finally, mark your calendar for Parent & Family Weekend, October 30, 2026–November 1, 2026. We are hosting a full weekend of activities for you and your student including Dr. G’s Haunted Fun House!
