SGA Court Applications
Are you interested in serving in the role of SGA Student Court Associate Justice for the 2022-23 Academic Year?
Student Court Justices fulfill a crucial role on campus. They are the liaison between the University’s Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) and the student body: Justices review appeals of student parking citations during the summer, fall, and spring semesters, in addition to winter break. Further, Student Court Justices hear cases of student misconduct allegations and serve on committees such as Academic Misconduct Committee (AIC) and University Committee on Student Conduct (UCSC). The Student Court Justices also heard cases referred by Student Government Association, such as grievances from the Election Commission regarding SGA Elections. To serve on these committees, Justices undergo training during the summer. Training ranges from parking to the legal framework involved in higher education cases. Justices also provide feedback to the Office of Student Accountability regarding the Student Code and student disciplinary processes.
The Office of Dean of Students and the Student Government Association Student Court invite you to apply for the role by completing the application through TigerZone.
