Registration is now open for the Career Center's Virtual Fair! Connect with employers and learn about internship and job opportunities.
SPOTLIGHT ON RESOURCES:
The Animal Health SmartBrief is a free subscription service from the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) that sends out a single e-mail each weekday (M-F) highlighting current issues and news in the animal health community.
As in an health profession, it is important to stay up to date with current issues in your field of interested. We encourage all pre-vet students to sign up for this email digest to learn more!
VOLUNTEEER OPPORTUNITY
The global pandemic changed how we interact with one another and how we approach volunteer opportunities. Many organizations have pivoted away from in-person volunteering, but that does not make the virtual opportunities any less valuable to your development as a prehealth student!
Take a look at our list of over 100+ volunteer opportunities in the area. We will be updating this list throughout the semester, so be sure to check back often!
Here is one organization that has openings and can help you develop several competencies!
Serving children and youth from birth to 22, The Home makes a positive impact on over 12,000 lives each year through a network of services including behavioral health, therapeutic residential and special education, adoption and foster care. In addition, a number of innovative programs provide specialized assistance to youth transitioning to adulthood from state systems of care. They have several opportunities open for college students to get involved through either individual volunteer opportunities or semester-long internships.
GROWTH YEAR OPPORTUNITY
November 10, 2020 | 6:30 PM ET | Virtual Event
Dermcare Experts and Beacon Clinical Research would like to invite all interested applicants to an online informational session to hear more about the Dermatology and Clinical Research Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Fellowship, an innovative two-year program designed to help college graduates gain extensive exposure to patient care and clinical research as well as technical skills necessary to strengthen their medical school application.
During this session, they will have current and past fellows share their experience in the program and answer any questions applicants may have.
