Using Interstride to Launch Your Career Locally and Globally: A Workshop for International Students

Interstride was designed by international students for international students to help in the job search. On Thursday, October 13, at 12 noon1 p.m., Interstride will join us for an interactive session to showcase this career and job portal, help you find employers and full-time jobs that sponsor H-1B, and will highlight how to create an account and utilize its resources for finding jobs locally and abroad.

The White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health: Translating Evidence Into Action

The White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health convened in September 2022 for the first time in 50 years. The conference developed a roadmap of actions to improve nutrition, end hunger, and reduce diet-related chronic diseases in the United States by 2030. Join Environmental Studies and the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy on Thursday, October 13, at 12 noon1 p.m. at Curtis Hall Multipurpose Room as we host Dariush Mozaffarian, Dean of the Friedman School, for a lecture discussing his experience as a co-chair for a task force for the Conference itself.

Student Recovery Meeting

Tufts is committed to helping students in recovery through a network of supports and resources throughout campus and in the local community. We strive to create a nurturing and supportive environment where students in recovery are empowered to achieve, personal, academic, and professional goals. Senior Portraits

Senior Portraits begin October 10 in Campus Center Room 112. Sign up now for your free portrait sitting. Proofs will be sent following portrait sessions with the option to purchase packages and choose a picture for the 2023 Senior Memory Book. Having a photo taken during senior portraits is only way to have your photo in the Memory Book portrait section. Memory Books will be available for pre-sale beginning in November.

Off-Campus Housing Webinar

Join the Offices of Residential Life and Learning and Financial Aid in talking about what steps to take in looking for off-campus housing. Navigating the rental process, and finances can be scary - but Tufts has offices who can help. Zoom information will be posted on the ORLL website.

Project Connect

Sign Up for Sign Project Connect!

Friendships can help buffer against the daily stressors of school and life. But building a social network can be tough, and we want to help! Project Connect is designed to help Tufts students build meaningful connections. It's a 6-week, peer-led program that helps students build connection with each other. You'll meet for an hour each week with a trained peer facilitator to discuss thought-provoking questions and complete a mini-connection project.

Tufts Community Clean-Up

Tufts Community Clean-Up is an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to come together to clean up the Medford Hillside neighborhood that we call home. We'll focus our efforts on the Boston Avenue business district. The event is hosted by the office of Government & Community Relations in partnership with Student Affairs and the City of Medford. All volunteers will be given cleanup supplies, directions, and snacks. Please join us on Friday, October 14, at 10 a.m.–12 noon at 14 Capen Street and show your love and appreciation for our neighborhood. The Gregory M. Botsaris Endowed Lecture

All Tufts community members are invited to the Gregory M. Botsaris Lecture, "Dissipative Self-assembly of Colloidal Dispersions" to be delivered by Dr. Eric M. Furst. The lecture will take place on November 2, from 12 noon -1:30 p.m. in Alumnae Hall on the Medford/Somerville campus. Professor Furst will discuss findings from experiments performed in microgravity environments on factors governing the kinetics of phase separation of paramagnetic colloids and the resulting steady-state structures.
