We hope your semester is going well!  If you have already filed for financial aid, thank you for applying before the priority deadline of April 2nd! The school will follow up with you regarding your next steps in April. 

We want to take this time to remind you that we are here to support you during your Sac State journey. We understand there have been changes to the FAFSA process, and sometimes, that can make the application process difficult or confusing. We want to help ease these roadblocks as much as possible by providing you with resources and workshops to make the financial aid process as seamless as possible.

When filing your CADAA, please complete it as you would normally. However, due to the changes in the 2024-25 FAFSA application, please consider the following:

A contributor may include your parent(s) or guardian(s), or your spouse (independent). 

The FSA ID is a unique and secure username and password that is specific to each student and their contributor to access the financial aid application.

If you have created an FSA ID in the past, you will not need to create a new one. Just make sure all your account information is up to date.

You can attend a virtual or in-person workshop for assistance with the financial aid process. Your contributor is also welcome to participate with you. These workshops are on a drop-in basis, so you can stay there for as little or as long as you need.
