Do you know PSU has a Student Food Pantry?

We do! Any student taking at least one credit hour per term can visit the Student Food Pantry located in room 325 on the third floor of the Smith Memorial Student Union (SMSU) to receive up to five items per day. The Student Food Pantry is open Monday through Friday during term time from Noon-2:00 p.m. You must present your student I.D. Students are encouraged to bring a reusable shopping bag. The Student Food Pantry is volunteer run and strives to create a stigma-free, welcoming environment. Visit the PSU Student Food Pantry for more information, to learn how to become involved, or how to donate.

SNAP Office Hours

Wondering if you qualify for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), or food stamps, which can help supplement your monthly food supplies? The CISFS in partnership with the Multnomah County Department of Human Services, provides SNAP sign-up assistance through drop-in office hours at the Center for Student Health & Counseling. This program through Multnomah County helps connect students with food and other important resource information including:
  • Free tax preparation services
  • Discount cell phone services
  • Help with utility expenses
  • Match savings accounts for college students
  • Car loans
  • Pet food
  • Free eye/vision clinic services
  • Aging/disability resources, and more.
Office hours are listed on the Committee for Improving Student Food Security website. All students are welcome to drop-in. The specialist will be at SHAC in the University Center Building, Suite 307. Students can go straight to the 3rd floor for assistance. Email foodhelp@pdx.edu for more information.
