Update for FHA Loans Locked with a Downpayment Loan
For FHA loans locked with a Minnesota Housing downpayment loan, HUD requires the FHA case number on our FHA DPA Commitment Form and FHA Award Letter. The updated forms are available on our website and in Forms Generator.
Lenders must also input the FHA case number into the loan commitment system.
Click on the "Loan Info" tab.
Type the FHA case number in the "Lender Case Number" section.
If using Forms Generator, the FHA case number will auto-populate on the FHA DPA Commitment Form and the FHA Award Letter.
Reminder: Canceling Loans
In order to keep our interest rates low and effectively manage downpayment loan funds, Minnesota Housing needs lenders to maintain an accurate record of active loans. As soon as a transaction is no longer viable, please cancel the loan in our loan commitment system.
