Michigan Integrative Well-Being and Inequality Training Program Recruitment for Cohort 5

We're looking for early career investigators with a terminal degree (PhD, MD, DrPH, EdD, etc) to join our training and mentorship program to study the intersection of physical and mental health, and how that intersection relates to health disparities. Our summer institute will take place from July 21 - 24, 2024 in Ann Arbor. Scholars will receive ongoing mentorship and research network-building support. BCPH Thought Fellowship

BCPH's Fellowship supports the next generation of thought leaders in public health; advance collective impact for health equity through public health advocacy; and diversify, democratize, and broaden evidence-based public health dialogue and expression. BCPH values a variety of voices, perspectives, and generations on public health topics from around the world from practitioners, researchers, and academics from every aspect of the globe. The deadline is Feb. 15, 2024.

IAPHS Student Travel Scholarships

The 2024 conference in St. Louis, Missouri will offer a variety of sessions of interest to students with lunchtime sessions specifically planned for students. We are pleased to offer travel scholarship funds for a limited number of students to attend the conference. Applications will close on March 11, 2024

Statistical Consulting Services

This semester, the Department of Statistics will continue to offer our free statistical consulting service, where statistics Ph.D. students (under Prof. Lucas Janson’s supervision) will assist in data analysis and the interpretation of results. More information here!

Rose Service Learning Fellowship Application Now Open

Harvard Chan students and post-docs are welcome to apply for funding for U.S. and global service learning projects. Awards up to $10,000 for the Spring 2024 cycle. WGH Conference Stipend

WGH’s conference stipends are open to all HSPH students to support attendance at conferences that have a gender analysis and health focus. Stipends can cover up to $750 (domestic) and $1000 (international) of expenses to be used for travel, accommodation, incidental costs, and registration. An Unending Pandemic: Long COVID in Brazil

Drs. Segata and Aveling explore the complexity, uncertainty, and epistemic injustices surrounding the recognition and care for Long COVID in Brazil. Dr. Aveling will discuss the mechanisms through which Long COVID is invisibilised within an overburdened universal health system. Centered on accounts of affected individuals, Dr. Segata’s presentation argues that what is emerging is the appearance of a new individual whose biography is being rewritten by Long Covid.
