An Unending Pandemic: Long COVID in Brazil

Drs. Segata and Aveling explore the complexity, uncertainty, and epistemic injustices surrounding the recognition and care for Long COVID in Brazil. Dr. Aveling will discuss the mechanisms through which Long COVID is invisibilised within an overburdened universal health system. Centered on accounts of affected individuals, Dr. Segata’s presentation argues that what is emerging is the appearance of a new individual whose biography is being rewritten by Long Covid.
