Sabrina McCarthy (FMW) extends a special invitation to Friends to join a study of Exodus in February and March. Kriat Hakodesh – Reading the Sacred - is a Jewish practice similar to the the Christian practice of lectio divina, a silent, prayerful way of repeatedly listening and praying on a biblical text to derive its spiritual meaning. Rabbi Leila offered a similar course on Genesis in 2024, with a special outreach to Quakers, that had many BYM participants.

Deer Creek Adopts Minute on Trans & NonBinary Welcome |
Deer Creek Friends Meeting recently adopted a Minute welcoming trans and non-binary Friends. Minutes like these are a powerful message of love, solidarity, and welcome at a when time politicians are dehumanizing trans people and aggressively stripping them of their rights. The BYM Working Group on Trans & Non-Binary Welcome is available to accompany monthly meetings considering similar Minutes.
