May Food Box Report
With the help of 52 volunteers, May food boxes gave 97 families food during uncertain times that we are living in today. 4 of these boxes went to Pilas families for graduation celebrations, 12 went to Kiwanis, 4 were non-perishable going to Bethel homeless support and their health center families. In addition 4 went to Ukrainian families recently moved into our community. This month 5 went to Head Start families experiencing emergencies and an additional 4 went to families with high needs nominated by our Plaza Comunidad partner. Member Highlight - Andrea Lamanna
Connect and Serve! Andrea joined Southtowne in 2006 after a lunch meeting with a Rotarian, recommended by a mutual acquaintance. Motivated by a desire to support the community, she served as president the year 2012/2013. Andrea says she she has especially enjoyed participating in local community projects like Fairfield Family Days and helping pack school backpacks.
Originally from Portland, Oregon, Andrea works in the commercial insurance industry. She describes herself as "stubborn, caring, and kind." Outside of work, she loves cooking, exploring new restaurants, visiting the Coast, and strolling through farmers markets with her husband, Rocky.
