Annual Gift Drive to Support Students with Disabilities
Many members of the LLS community support the work of the Learning Rights Law Center, located near the LLS campus. Its TIGER (Training Individuals for Grassroots Education Reform) program provides monthly special education advocacy training for parents who have a child with a disability. This year’s TIGER program is supporting 215 parents from primarily low-income, highly diverse communities in Los Angeles and neighboring counties. Given the pandemic, TIGER families need our support now more than ever. This year, in collaboration with the LMU SOE’s Alumni Association and Mission Committee, donations will provide parents with headsets to support their child’s distance learning, and an additional item of choice, with gift items ranging from $5 to $25 in price. Donations will be accepted through Tuesday, December 1. Parents will receive gift bags on Friday, Dec. 5. More>>
