Meet Marnie Huff, part-time ELL Instructor
|
What interested you in teaching English for NALC?
Originally, in 1991 I heard an ad on NPR & volunteered at the NALC for about a year. I was impressed with the training I received and the progress that my student achieved. Later, in 2006 I began my volunteer ESL tutoring at St. Ann Catholic Church which I continue to do. That inspired me to become a certified ESL teacher at the Tennessee Language Center, leading to my part-time job at the NALC.
Tell us about a joyful moment you've had in class?
A student told me he passed the citizenship test!
Thank you for your dedication Marnie!
