TCAP Testing Schedule:

Testing will begin at 8:30 each morning and depending on the day may last until 11:30 (for extended time). It is important that students are on time to school these days and they are not picked up during testing for appointments. If they are late to testing, they will miss more class time in the afternoon to make up the morning testing sessions. All students in grades 3-8 will take the TCAP tests.

These kids put on an amazing show 5 different times this weekend. This would not have been possible with out the help of all the volunteers and parents. So proud of all the hard work and dedication these kids put in everyday.

Important NP Information

⭐FOR DROP OFF AND PICKUP- Please do not park in the Northside Church parking lot for drop off or pickup. The first row of spots is reserved for teachers only and the next row is only for parents dropping their children off at Northside Learning center. For the safety of all children walking to and from school please refrain from pulling into the parking lot.

➡️ Reminder: Please make sure your child has an extra pair of clothes, including socks and underwear. We have had many kids need an extra pair from playing in puddles or mud outside.

ATTENTION: When parking for drop off or pickup please do not block neighbors driveways or mailboxes. We have had some tell us the mailman will not stop if it is blocked.

♦All visitors must bring their Driver's License when entering the building to volunteer or dismiss a student during the school day.

Normalpalooza is Normal Park's annual arts and music festival featuring live entertainment, student performances, and a vendor marketplace including local businesses and artisans. The Kids Zone is back with your favorite carnival games, arts and crafts, inflatables and MUCH MORE! This event requires an army of volunteers!

UPDATE ON HOURS: I have had many parents ask about hours for donations. It is a Hamilton County policy that you are only allowed to receive 6 hours for donations to the school. All of the rules and ways to receive volunter hours are listed in the ABCs to Volunteering. Please let me know if you have any quesitons.

Composting 101: Tuesday, April 16th, 5:30 p.m. at the Hibbards' home. Kids are welcome with adults who attend. Here is your chance to learn all there is to know about the world of composting. Norm Lavoie from NewTerra and NP parent Jenny Hibbard will lead an informal discussion on composting. Upper School eLab coordinator, Matty Hardy, will also be on hand to teach participants what she learned about gardening from her summer travels in Europe, and she will also have a compost activity for kids to participate in. Campus Reminders and Policy

Electronics policy: Per school board, Upon a student's arrival in the building, all electronics, cell phones, headphones, and smart watches should not be seen or heard during the school day and kept in a locker or backpack. First violation: The device is confiscated and parent must pick up or held for 3 days.

Playground Reminders:

The playground is open to the public after 6 PM and on weekends.

Animals are not allowed on campus, the playground or field at any time.
