Hope all is well with each of you as fall marches on!
We recently started Young Life at Eagle Village. EV is a foster care home outside of Reed City, MI for 60 middle school and high school students who are having hard time getting placed in foster homes.
Cory Juliano (pictured above with wife, Jen) is starting Young Life at Eagle Village. Here's a great story in his words!
"I have had the opportunity to have a ton of one on one conversations with our kids the last few months. One of my favorite occurred just last night. One of the residents has some community service hours he needs to work off because of an issue on campus. I told him and his staff if he needed some ideas I could use some help around our house.
This young man jumped at the opportunity... not knowing it entailed cleaning out an old smelly basement. About an hour into our cleaning and conversation I asked him what it was like since he accepted Jesus as his Savior after Young Life a few weeks ago.
He went on and on talking for a long while about his life. I was almost brought to tears when he said "I am learning that Jesus loves me more than any other person alive. He died on the cross specifically for me. That I am so special to him. The crazy thing is... he loves EVERYONE that much."
It was such a blessing to be in the room with this kid last night as he shared how he feels about Jesus. Our kids at Eagle Village do not always have it the easiest and often don't know what it is like to be loved, and he was no exception. Now, with Jesus, this young man knows he is loved and cherished by the God of the universe. I really felt like I was on holy ground last night during our conversation."

Thanks so much for your dedication to helping YL reach Every Kid in the Western Great Lakes Region. Our hope is to continue to give kids an opportunity to have lasting relationships with caring adults who show them what Jesus is really like.
