This month, we’re bringing some science magic to St. Patrick’s Day with the Crystal Shamrock Experiment! This hands-on activity is a fun way for students to explore chemistry and crystal formation while creating festive decorations. The 2025 Jump Start Construction Connect Scholars Program is now accepting applications for high school seniors pursuing careers in construction and STEM-related fields. This scholarship awards $1,000 to Jump Start graduates who earn a qualifying credential and plan to enroll full-time in an LCTCS Construction Pathway or an ABC training program. The Gulf Research Program (GRP) and NOAA’s Environmental Literacy Program are funding place-based education projects in the U.S. Gulf States to enhance environmental literacy and community resilience.

Grant Details:
Funding: $100K–$750K (Total: $4M)

Project Length: 12–36 months

Projects should address local environmental challenges, engage communities in solutions, and inspire future leaders.

FAST is partnering with Girl Scouts East Louisiana to host the 5th annual Camp Code for Girls - Louisiana from July 21-25, 2025 at the Girl Scout DreamLab in Gonzalez, LA.
