Crystal Shamrock Experiment |
This month, we’re bringing some science magic to St. Patrick’s Day with the Crystal Shamrock Experiment! This hands-on activity is a fun way for students to explore chemistry and crystal formation while creating festive decorations. Using simple household materials, they’ll witness the science of supersaturated solutions in action as beautiful crystals grow on their pipe cleaner shamrocks.

Jump Start Construction Connect Scholars Program |
The 2025 Jump Start Construction Connect Scholars Program is now accepting applications for high school seniors pursuing careers in construction and STEM-related fields. This scholarship awards $1,000 to Jump Start graduates who earn a qualifying credential and plan to enroll full-time in an LCTCS Construction Pathway or an ABC training program. Applications are open until April 22, 2025—learn more and apply online today.

Grant Opportunity: Build Environmental Resilience!

The Gulf Research Program (GRP) and NOAA’s Environmental Literacy Program are funding place-based education projects in the U.S. Gulf States to enhance environmental literacy and community resilience.
Grant Details:
Funding: $100K–$750K (Total: $4M)
Apply: Feb 26 – May 21, 2025 (5 PM ET)
Project Length: 12–36 months
Projects should address local environmental challenges, engage communities in solutions, and inspire future leaders.
