Meet the Student CEOs!

Did you know RTSWS is in 62 high schools this year? Another year of tremndous growth of our footprint!

Each cohort has two Student CEOs who serve as a liason between their school and RTSWS staff. The position is a fantastic opportunity to elevate their leadership experience and network with other student leaders from across the U.S., U.K. and Canada.

17% of RTSWS Students are Hispanic. We are proud to offer our Latina students exposure to the financial services industry that breaks the stereotypes, and provides financial tools for a more secure future.

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15-October 15), get to know Sophia M. and Lisbet A., two of our Latina 2022-2023 Student CEOs.

Why should students at your school join RTSWS?

RTSWS introduces students to the different fields in finance and gets them thinking about what they might want to pursue. RTSWS helped me and my peers build resumes and gave us advice on how to set up a Linkedin profile to help make connections with other RTSWS students and find employers for future potential job opportunities. Lastly, it's essential that people have a fundamental understanding of business, and this program offers that with a well-planned course.

What are you most excited about for RTSWS this year?
I am most excited about the new girls and how much help and mentorship they will get and how I will get to see that and be a part of sharing the potential of RTSWS.
Why should students at your school join RTSWS?
I think that students at my school should join RTSWS because it has so much information to give that would significantly impact the students of my school because most of them are from low incomes and have few resources.

In the past few weeks and continuing into October, girls from 62 partner high schools across 34 cities will begin to experience the first of the four programs of the RTSWS academic year-long model: Fall Classroom Financial Projects. Female financial professionals will lead classroom workshops on money management, budgeting, stocks, investing and the capital markets over a five-week period this semester.
