APPEALS COURT LIFTS BAN ON PART OF SAVE PLAN
A federal appeals court ruled on Sunday that a key part of President Joe Biden's student loan repayment plan--known as the SAVE Plan--can resume after it had been blocked by several states. The previous injunction said that the administration could not lower monthly payments or forgive some student debt. The injunction was lifted only for the part that would lower monthly payments, allowing them to drop from 10 percent of discretionary income to five percent this month.
