Experiential learning helps students bridge the gap between knowing and doing. Through experiences like internships, summer research, volunteering and more, students expand their network, develop valuable skills, and take a step toward future goals.
The Experiential Learning team is committed to meeting students where they are in their journey. Signature programs like the Summer Fellowship Internship Program, Summer Research Program, Community Engagement Initiative, and Puget Sound Internship Grant offer supportive cohort models and grant-funded opportunities. Experiential Learning courses in the Career Development Sequence help students explore their interests, utilize career-related resources, and take their best next step.
Program applications are due soon, so now is a great time to plan for summer experiences. Encourage your student to stop by Howarth 005, browse our webpage, or schedule a meeting with a member of our team.

Associate Dean of Experiential Learning
|
Nick Kontogeorgopoulos likes to stay busy. When he isn’t researching the complexities of ethical international tourism, or teaching courses in international political economy, he’s traveling to Thailand to study sustainable tourism practices. Since 2021, the distinguished professor of international political economy has served as associate dean of experiential learning.
