Mobile Health Technology

Tara Niendam, Ph.D., assistant professor in the department of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at UC Davis and director of operations for the EDAPT clinic developed a new mental health app for psychosis.  (PDF)

Mental Health Policy 

H.R. 2646, The Helping Families in Mental Health Crisis Act, passed the House of Representatives on July 6th with bipartisan support. This bill helps families by requiring the translation of evidence-based interventions into practice. 

Mental Health Makes the Headlines

BHCOE Director, Dr. Cameron Carter, believes computer brain training can improve cognition for people with schizophrenia.
UC Davis and Kaiser Permanente are beginning a clinical study that will improve public health by assessing risk factors early in life that increase chances of developing dementia later in life.
