Adventure Science Center Announces All-New Exhibit, Recycle Rainforest, Opening September 1
| |
Nashville, TN, July 13 - In this immersive, temporary exhibit, Adventure Science Center will explore the critical relationship between rainforests, the life they contain, and the global ecosystem.
| |
A fully recyclable "set" will be constructed to simulate a natural rainforest environment that combines creating and art with ecology and sustainability.
The exhibit will include a series of colorful wall panels, each featuring a remarkable organism from one of Earth's many rainforests. These panels - like almost everything in the gallery - will be fabricated from fully-recyclable cardboard.
In keeping with Adventure Science Center's dedication to hands-on learning, guests will have access to a collection of recyclable building materials that can be used to create rainforest creatures. Once their build is complete, guests will leave the build area to enter South Gallery, which will be transformed into the ruins of an ancient structure. There, they can place their creature within the environment for other visitors to enjoy or choose to take it home.
Supporting content within Recycle Rainforest will also educate guests on the plight of deforestation and the global challenge of climate change.
More than 2,000 square feet of the first floor of the science center will be utilized to bring this exhibit to life from September 1, 2022 - Spring 2023. Recycle Rainforest is one of the many new experiences coming to Adventure Science Center as a part of the Beyond 75 initiative to breathe new life into the science center's mission to open every mind to the wonders of science and technology.
Sponsorships from partners like Amazon, WM, and AllianceBernstein - who are also committed to sustainability practices - are critical to ensure Adventure Science Center continues to bring world-class experiences to Nashville.
