Submit Legislation for the 2023 National Tournament Docket!
Debate the topics you are passionate about—if you wrote it, you can submit it! Any high school NSDA member student, regardless of their national qualification status, may directly submit legislation to be considered for the 2023 National Tournament Docket! You can even submit multiple pieces of legislation for consideration. If your legislation is selected to be part of the Nationals Docket, you will be recognized in Rostrum, receive a trophy after the tournament, and be awarded a $100 scholarship. This is a great way to boost your resume and be recognized for your research and writing skills!

The SLC will be composed of high school student members of the National Speech & Debate Association who will provide feedback and recommendations throughout the year to ensure we are meeting students’ needs. The Springboard Series is a great online practice opportunity! There are four free, after-school practice sessions per month in January, February, and March—no NSDA membership required! Nominations Are Now Open for the Activating Equity Award
When you think of a group who is dedicated to building a culture of equity in speech and debate, who comes to mind? Did you know we now have an Activating Equity Award and you can nominate them for their dedication to equity? The winner will be announced in May 2023 and will receive $5,000 to support their equity mission. You can nominate a group of individuals who work together to increase equity or more formalized groups. Find out more »

We know how this activity can change lives, and we are thrilled to have a day dedicated to celebrating you, your team, and all you put into speech and debate. We can’t wait to celebrate together on March 3, 2023!

Register Now for this Online Opportunity in May
We are excited to announce the inaugural Digital Speech & Debate e-Championship! This is a collaborative venture between the Tournament of Champions and the National Speech & Debate Association to provide an accessible, cost-effective online championship opportunity for students in grades 6-12. The online tournament is held May 6-8, 2023, and is presented by the TOC and NSDA with support from the NAUDL, NCFL, NIETOC, and NFHS.
