Inaugural LLS Orchestra Concert Draws Hundreds to CampusHundreds of alumni, faculty, students and friends descended on the law school Esplanade on Friday, Oct. 28 "La Dolce Vita at Loyola," the inaugural performance of the LLS Orchestra conducted by Professor Simona Grossi (pictured, top left). The host was Alessandra Tarissi de Jacobis '20 (pictured, top right), chair, International Committee, Beverly Hills Bar Association. Speakers included Tom K. Ara '99, partner, DLA Piper and Malcolm McNeil '83, partner, Arent Fox Schiff LLP and food by renowned chef Luigi Fineo. Western Conference on Tax Exempt Orgs Set for Dec. 1-2, 2022
LMU Loyola Law School and UCLA School of Law’s Program on Philanthropy and Nonprofits will host the 26th-annual Western Conference on Tax Exempt Organizations. This in-person conference will run Thursday, Dec. 1 and Friday, Dec. 2 at the Omni Los Angeles Hotel at California Plaza in downtown Los Angeles. The two-day conference includes 13 sessions on legal developments of critical importance to charities and other nonprofit organizations. The conference features an array of prominent tax-exemption experts including officials from the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the IRS, plus prominent West Coast lawyers and accountants. Ellen Aprill, a WCTEO founder and the John E. Anderson Chair in Tax Law Emerita at LLS, is a co-organizer. More>>
