TIPQC’s Summer SIMS trained over 76 individuals from 35 different hospitals and community organizations. During the SIMS, attendees learned about trauma informed care, adverse childhood events (ACES), and respectful conversation, applying these to 4 different maternal and infant scenarios, while ensuring the patient feels respected, safe, and heard. TIPQC is grateful to Bonnie Miller, MSN, Patti Scott, DNP and Danielle Tate, MD, MBA for their leadership and expertise in leading these SIMS!
