Two Changes Coming to Zoom

As part of the continuous UITS effort to ensure all campus software tools are as secure as possible,  a new layer of security will be added to zoom.
-Beginning May 13, anyone signing into Zoom with a KSU email (@kennesaw.edu or @students.kennesaw.edu) will be required to sign in and authenticate using their KSU credentials when they log in.  (zoom.kennesaw.edu)
-There's a new and easy way to properly log in to Zoom.  Visit zoom.Kennesaw.edu for a simplified log-in experience.

Recorded Teams Sessions Will Soon Be Stored in OneDrive

Beginning Friday, May 14, recorded Microsoft Teams will be available for replay and sharing in the new "Recordings" file in the OneDrive of the participant who initiated the recording.

New OwlTrain Content Coming Soon!

UITS is excited to announce that there are big changes coming to OwlTrain in June! These new changes will offer users an easy-to-navigate interface.

This new interface will offer an enhanced user experience and will allow the entire KSU community to grow their professional skills as well as providing a platform for annual training compliance.

Beginning June 8, 2021, users will see an improved interface as well as an abundance of new learning opportunities.

In preparation for this change, current users should save a copy of their learning transcripts and certificates from the current OwlTrain system as they are not able to be migrated to the new interface.

Blackboard Collaborate Ultra   Decommissioning

UITS is committed to bringing the Kennesaw State University community the best-in-class tools to provide an optimum teaching and learning experience.  As new tools and resources are deployed and improved, we must reassess our product collection. With the increased capabilities of Microsoft Teams as a more robust platform for interactive meetings, UITS will be decommissioning Blackboard Collaborate Ultra.  New sessions may be recorded in Blackboard Collaborate Ultra until JULY 30, 2021, but users are strongly encouraged to shift to Microsoft Teams Meetings as soon as possible.  Existing videos and chat logs from sessions can be downloaded (until September 30, 2021) and migrated to Kaltura MediaSpace.  On October 1, 2021, all content (sessions and chat logs) in Collaborate Ultra will be automatically deleted and the service will be completely decommissioned from the KSU campus. Microsoft Teams will continue to be available for use after JULY 30, 2021.  The links below can support users as they make this transition.
