An adrenaline-fueled, student-focused video was one of many creative pieces celebrated at the 2020 Collegiate Advertising Awards, where the Fort Lewis College Marketing & Communications Department took home silver and bronze medals for their work.

FLC alumni fill podium at Iron Horse Bicycle Classic

Skyhawks cycling alumni took top spots in last weekend's road race from Durango to Silverton. Sarah Sturm (Art, '12) took second in the women's pro field while Howard Grotts (Mathematics, '14) finished third in the men's race.  

Animas High School unveils building designs for new campus at FLC

AndersonMasonDale Architects unveiled plans for the new Animas High School building, which will be built on a 3.2-acre parcel just south of the Bader-Snyder Residence Halls at Fort Lewis College. AHS received a $13.7M grant to build a permanent facility on the College's campus.

Texas artist Lowell Shapley's (Art, '03) painting of a red snapper is the cover art for the latest issue of Texas Outdoors Journal
Shapley is a self-taught artist who not only paints but also owns Gulf Coast Studios, a taxidermy studio that specializes in waterfowl and fish replicas. He has won many taxidermy awards and has painted numerous mural commissions around the world for both commercial and private clients.
