It always amazes me how great people can be. Whether it’s a volunteer kickin' it with a 3T student, or someone just finding a cause to believe in, humans are awesome. And if you know us, you know we appreciate awesome. 

Chris Smith epitomized just that. Chris was a senior staff member at Show Horse Magazine, one of the most renowned publications in the business. He passed away in March but left behind a powerful legacy of passion and love for others. He loved Triple Threat's mission and we're pumped to have been his favorite organization. 

In his honor, Richard Hudgins and Derick Mann, the President and Vice President of Show Horse Magazine, dedicated a recent issue to Chris and by extension, Triple Threat.

Show Horse made a donation to Triple Threat in the name of 16 advertisers, the clients that Chris worked with. We can’t thank the Show Horse Magazine crew enough for the support they have shown us. We feel super honored to be a small part of continuing Chris’s legacy. A big shout-out to Derick and Richard for coordinating the efforts, as they’re much appreciated.

Thank you Chris for being an awesome dude and furthering the mission of Triple Threat Mentoring. You’ll be missed, but your passion and love for serving lives on!

Triple Threat is dedicated to getting and keeping kids healthy. That's why we want to thank Nike and Community In Schools (CIS) for partnering with us in our fitness initiative. SPARQ is a Nike training program that Triple Threat adapted for youth. It focuses on teaching students fitness, nutrition, and discipline, all while playing with neat equipment and great coaches. These coaches are volunteers that truly want to see these kids succeed, which we support full-heartedly. The Triple Threat SPARQ crew is currently in 18 schools around Aurora and! That's a lot of kids getting fit while having fun.

This month, we partnered with an awesome group of volunteers through Radius Group, an organization that seeks to guide the next generation of leaders to become true servants to their communities. The best part of all this? These volunteers are high school kids! It’s always great to see kids helping kids, and the Radius crew was no exception. Kids came and learned group cooperation with activities like building a tower out of marshmallows and toothpicks. Yum! Other Radius students took the field with our SPARQ coaches and led our students in fitness activities. Thanks for setting a great example of hard work and service, Radius team!
