Bryn Mawr Book Discussion

Join a community book discussion on the literary thriller Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng on Thursday, April 24, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in the Edith Hamilton Library. This event is designed for parents, guardians, alumnae, employees and students in grades 10-12.

Cum Laude and Departmental Awards

The Class of 2025 was recognized for their achievements inside and outside of the classroom during the Cum Laude induction and departmental awards convocation.  In total 28 members of the Class of 2025 received honors for their hard work and dedication.

Gym Drill & Bazaar are Coming Soon

Gym Drill and the Bazaar are on Friday, May 2, starting at 2:00 pm.  For up to date information on parking, shuttles, events and activities please refer to the website. 

Campus Camera Roll

March brought spring to campus and warm weather brought lots of activity!  E3 Day in the Upper School brought students together to learn about each other and exchange ideas, while the Great Myth Plays showed the talent and creativity in the Lower School.  

Update from Athletics

Spring athletics are in full swing! Varsity badminton is on top of the IAAM A Conference with four wins, and undefeated. Varsity lacrosse had a massive overtime win over conference opponent Maryvale Prep.  The team is looking forward to hosting Mercy, RPCS, and Archbishop Carroll (PA) in the 2nd Annual Morrow Lacrosse Challenge on April 12th — come support the team when they play Mercy at 10:00 am! Golf looks to defend their championship title in the IAAM, and have started the season with a win over Mt. de Sales. Outdoor track & field is ready to get moving against the IAAM A conference.

Update from the Arts

The Upper School spring play The Future in the Instant, is this weekend, April 4 at 7:00 pm and April 5 at 2:00 pm.  Admission is free. 

The play is adapted and directed by Sascha Hurwitz ’26 who uncovered the play in the Edith Hamilton Library.  The play itself was written by Mary Josephs Fowler, a graduate of the Class of 1902.

The Upper School fall musical will be Chicago The Musical — Teen Edition.  Auditions will be May 28, 29 and 31.

Shout the Love

• Varsity Lacrosse Coach Molly Wolf ’12 coached the New York Charging in the Women's Lacrosse League inaugural championship series.

• Middle School Community Service Learning raised over $1,000 for California wildfire relief efforts with a bake sale.
• Upper School Community Service Learning handmade 40 blankets for Project Linus, which will give some to participants in CampB'More, with is a camp for children with cancer. 
• Congratulations to the Upper School CAFE representatives who organized an incredible E3 Day! Community Advocacy for Equity representatives are elected by their peers, and once a year organize E3. Thank you to CAFE President Laila Gheis ’25, Vice President Samari White ’26, Secretary/Treasurer Aela Mathieu ’26, Navya Negi ’25, Riya Narasimhan ’25, Caitlyn Navaleza ’26, Ryan Roberts ’26, Clara Luo ’27, Hannah Wu ’27, Naz Ozok ’28 and Juliana Salkini ’28 for all your hard work!
• Director of Information Technology Thanasi Letras P’35 received the Technology Leader in Independent Schools certification, showing his commitment to sharing his expertise and experience with the Bryn Mawr community. 
• Congratulations to the 10 students who have been named National History Day Baltimore City winners! Avelynn Puckett ’29, Anna Hao ’29, Rika Noda ’29, Manal Kalyanaraman ’29, Annie Yeagle ’30, Annie Herb ’29, Ria Bansal ’29, Sofia Ventimiglia ’30, Mary Frances Rivera ’30 and Samantha Walters ’30 were named Baltimore City winners.
