Indian Summer greetings from the LAB!

Indeed, Indian Summer is in full effect here in Carmel, so we'll share one of the most sublime songs to ever flow from a mortal's penl—in this case, Calvin Johnson. Here it is.

--------------

I said to my soul, be still and wait without hope, for hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love, for love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet faith, but the faith and the love are all in the waiting. Wait without thought, for you are not ready for thought: So the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing.             ~T.S. Eliot

Oct 15: "Instutions Under Seige" w/ David Clemens

MPC's David Clemens will offer his explanation for the bedlam now coursing through once respected institutions of news, government, and colleges, public and private.***
Sure to be a provocative afternoon! Free. 4 pm. RSVP here.

Oct 19: MAPACHE at the Mothership!!!

Happy days are here again! It's our first show at the "Mothership" in BIG SUR (assuming the bridge is up by then, which is should be. We hope so. Certain people are counting on it). Tickets via ((folkYEAH!!)) here!
Even more events here!  See you soon!
* Channel your inner Marlon Brando!
** If I had to expound further, Kip's specific vibe is, like, Moonshadow's circa '74, watching the sun sink into the Pacific, margarita in hand.
*** If only he can explain to me why my VCR keeps blinking "12:00!" LOLZ.
