How to Schedule an Appointment |
Use Navigate to schedule an individual appointment with an Academic Advisor. Appointments are 30 minutes long and available virtually (Zoom) and in-person on the Allendale or Health campus.

Login to Navigate
- Click on the blue Schedule an Appointment button
- Select Academic Advising from the drop-down
- Choose from the following:

Nursing is for students pursuing the Traditional or Second-Degree BSN
- Nursing - RN is for students in the online RN to BSN program
- Nursing - Graduate is for students in MSN, DNP, or certificate programs
- Select Find Available Time

Optional: Filter for virtual or in-person appointments using the "How would you like to meet" drop-down

Not sure who your advisor is? On your Navigate homepage you will see your Success Team on the bottom right, which includes your Major 1 Advisor.

Drop-In Advising This Week! |
Need to change your Fall 2026 schedule? No appointment required! Nursing advisors are available for virtual drop-in advising during the first week of classes to assist you with making changes to your Fall 2026 schedule.
The deadline to add or drop classes for Fall 2026 without penalty is Friday, September 4, by 5:00 pm.

NUR 101 Events are hosted by the Nursing Advising Team, and designed to help first-year nursing students successfully transition to college life and understand what it means to be a nursing major at GVSU.

NUR 101: Facts vs. Fiction
