The Lutrill and Pearl Payne School of Education had a very busy and productive summer as we offered 48 summer school courses for our undergraduate and graduate students. In addition to teaching, many of our faculty were also busy with research and outreach programs, some of which you can read about here.
One important milestone occurred this summer as we hosted a training for teachers who will be facilitators for our first-ever School of Education dual enrollment courses-- courses that will help encourage and prepare high school students who plan to become part of the teaching profession. We are excited to offer dual enrollment for the Multicultural Learning Communities course and the Foundations of Education course, both required for the pre-educator pathway in Louisiana. Learn more about hosting these dual enrollment courses at your school here.
We are preparing for an outstanding academic year as classes begin on August 21. We are welcoming new faculty and preparing innovative programs, and we can't wait to tell you about them in the upcoming weeks. Stay tuned!
