The MCC MediaLab is looking for participants to share their stories in their Trans & Queer Joy Podcast Jam Session! This event is a part of the MediaLab's Trans & Queer Joy Podcast, a project created to amplify the voices of LGBTQIA+ individuals within NYU to discuss their experiences of queer joy and celebration. The Podcast Jam Session is open mic event where any member of the LGBTQIA+ community can come forward and share stories that spread queer joy. These stories will be recorded, edited, and published by the MCC MediaLab Team for the rest of the university to listen to.

Each fall and spring semester, NYU Student Affairs provides a childcare subsidy to eligible full time graduate students to assist with childcare services. To be eligible, graduate students must be enrolled full time and have a child under 6 years of age. More details about eligibility and the link to the application can be found on the website.

NOTE: Those approved for the subsidy should receive the Bursar credit in December for the Fall semester or May for the Spring semester. Applicants will be notified by email when it is available on their Bursar account.

This workshop will focus on the fundamentals of developing, strategizing, and preparing a grant proposal for a project in the arts, humanities, or social sciences. It will introduce students (with little or no experience with grants) to the process of creating a proposal based on individual projects across a range of disciplines. By understanding the reasoning and rationale behind specific suggestions, participants can take that learning and adapt it for many different scholarly and/or creative endeavors beyond graduation. Students are encouraged to come with ideas for projects for which they’d like to find funding.
