Supporting Your Student in the Middle of the Semester

Dear Duke Families,
I am very excited to serve as the new Director of the Academic Resource Center (ARC), a campus unit that empowers students to reach their highest academic potential! The ARC offers free services to all students during their undergraduate careers at Duke. We work with students to create individualized, comprehensive approaches to learning. We want every student to gain a stronger understanding of how they learn, and to apply that knowledge to cultivate successful academic experiences at Duke.
We know you care deeply about your student’s college experience. This is a time your student is encountering new ideas and strengthening decision-making and life-management skills. We encourage you to talk with your student about their academic experiences.
Read more from Kimberly Bethea and learn about how the ARC can support your student.
