Apply for the Life Science Mentor NetworkThe Life Science Mentor Network, now beginning its fourth year, is a partnership between Life Science Tennessee and Launch Tennessee (LaunchTN). The Network pairs seasoned mentors with early-stage companies, all while leveraging the wealth of knowledge available in our state’s accelerators. Currently, the program taps the expertise of more than 60 mentors who guide participating companies through a process that helps fine-tune specific areas of each company’s investor pitch including overall presentation, finance, marketing, business strategy, intellectual property, and other key aspects.
To graduate, companies must give a final presentation to an audience that includes investors. The goal of the program is to leverage the expertise of mentors and help these companies produce the best, most polished pitch possible.
If you are part of an early-stage company that wants to join the Network, apply here! And if you’re a seasoned life science professional interested in mentoring the next generation of innovators, learn more here.

LST News
The United States leads the world in novel biomedical innovation, thanks in large part to its strong research universities, talented researchers, efficient drug approval processes, and a pricing system that enables companies to earn sufficient revenues to reinvest in future generations of innovation. Small biotech companies increasingly have the upper hand, as innovative technologies disrupt the competitor landscape and rich capital markets have lessened the necessity for deal-making. Lia Winter and her team captured the top prize and $15,000 in this past weekend’s annual “Brown-Forman Cardinal Challenge” hosted by the University of Louisville.
