SAMHSA is conducting this challenge under the America Creating Opportunities to Meaningfully Promote Excellence in Technology, Education, and Science (COMPETES) Reauthorization Act of 2010.
SAMHSA is seeking proposals from youth between ages 14-18 to submit a community strategy to increase youth awareness, education, and prevention around fentanyl.
The challenge kicked off on December 1, 2023, and submissions are open until February 26, 2024, at 6 p.m. ET.
The top 6 ideas will be awarded a $5,000 prize each, and up to 25 youths will receive a $2,000 honorable mention prize.
