Dear Cub Family,
Wednesday, August 11 marked the first day of the 2021-2022 ULS academic year, and it was a great day to be a Cub!
Along with our spirit groups, I had the pleasure of greeting students as they entered and taking pictures with them on my first school day as a Cub. I am so happy to finally be able to engage with them and listen and learn from them as well as our faculty and staff on a daily basis now that they are all back on campus.
The focus this week for the entire faculty and staff, including me, has been on working toward a successful start to the school year in the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The safety and health of our community, along with academics, have always been our top priorities and will continue to be the driving factors of how we plan and implement our day-to-day operations during and beyond this worldwide health crisis. Students, parents, faculty and staff will begin receiving ULS COVID-19 tracking data on a weekly basis on Friday, August 20 through the end of the pandemic.
As I mentioned in my back to school update last week, together, our community is a formidable force. I feel confident that if we each do our part to take care of ourselves and one another, we will, hopefully sooner than later, be able to move toward once again providing a full ULS experience, rich with traditions, for our students.
Thank you to the 118 community members who have completed the Director's Plan Feedback Form and the additional 372 who have begun a submission. Your input shared is valued and appreciated. For your convenience, links to my 100-Day Plan and Feedback Form are included at the end of this email. The Feedback Form will be available through September 18.
As always, thank you all for your time and dedication to our school.
Sincerely,
Kevin R. George
