PreK and Kindergarten enjoyed their Fun Day last Friday, and Kona Ice on top of that!
SCHOOL NOTES FROM MRS. WOODMAN
Dear Families and Friends,
It’s another exciting day at Christ the King! Second grade student Campbell Cole is Principal for the Day and granted students a Predators Spirit Day to dress for a win in tonight’s Stanley Cup Play Off game. Go Preds! Cam Anderson, first grade, cooked up some fun for lunch today in the Raider Cafe as Chef for the Day. Our middle school students took the last of their exams this morning. They may be the happiest kids in the building!
Tonight we will honor students in grades three through eight who have achieved Honor Roll or Principal’s List status and award scholarships for the coming school year at the annual Academic Banquet. We will also bestow the Teacher Award for Excellence to one teacher selected by colleagues for dedication, compassion, creative approach to addressing learning styles, and loyalty to CKS.
Our National Junior Honor Society met this week with its newest members to elect officers for 2017-2018. Congratulations to President Kendall St.Charles, Vice President Susanna Donnelly, Treasurer Jaxon Anton, and Secretary Gussie Miller, all rising eighth graders. I know we will see fine leadership from each of you.
I would like to offer a few reminders before the last week of school. Follow the guidelines in the Parent-Student Handbook for out of uniform days next week. The handbook is posted on the school website under the academics tab, then the policies drop down menu. A flyer will be in the Friday Folders tomorrow with directions for turning in uniforms for the Used Uniform Sale, which will take place on Registration Day. Look behind the sofa and under the car seats for any missing library books and get those returned to the library. Also, settle any accounts with St. Charles Catering for lunch charges this year.
I am looking forward to good-natured competition at tomorrow’s Field Day. I hope to see many parents there, too. Order your hamburger or hotdog lunch online today! https://stcharlescatering.schoollunchchoice.com.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Sherry Woodman
Principal
Go, Preds!
