We’re Reimagining Career Development at NC State

At NC State University, career growth isn’t just encouraged — it’s being reimagined. The Employee Career Development (ECD) program is a new initiative that empowers full-time staff to take charge of their career journeys. ECD offers self-paced resources, hands-on workshops and opportunities to participate in early pilot programs. Its goal is simple but powerful: help employees explore their strengths and discover new career opportunities at NC State. The ECD team is introducing the program to the Wolfpack community in a deliberate manner — one pilot, workshop and conversation at a time. The team is rolling out the program to select groups while readying it for a universitywide launch in 2026, but you will have an opportunity to engage with the program before then. For National Career Development Month in November, the team will host special universitywide activities and provide new resources employees can use to support their career journeys. Stay tuned as ECD continues to unfold across the university. You’ll be among the first to know what’s possible.
