Meadow Day
Oct. 11, 
11 am–3 pm
Spend the day in the Meadow Garden surrounded by the beautiful colors and textures of the autumn season. As you explore the Meadow Garden, stop at various points along the way and listen to informative talks from experts. 
During our Meadow Day, we are proud to partner with Natural Lands Trust, a regional land conservation organization.

Visit the Garden Railway

Guests of all ages will enjoy our Garden Railway. Watch as five locomotives travel over bridges, through tunnels, and around water features in this 
G-scale model train display.
Stop by the Garden Railway in its new location near the Birdhouse Treehouse during regular Gardens hours.
Pumpkin Playground is Open
Located in the Children's Corner
Now through Oct. 31, bring the family for fall fun in our pumpkin playground featuring a colorful collection of pumpkins that kids can see, touch, and move. 
Don't forget to take a photo with our largest pumpkin on display, weighing more than 800 pounds.

Purchase tickets to our popular holiday dining events before sales open to the general public.

Thanksgiving Buffet in our elegant Ballroom Nov. 27, 11:30 am 7:30 pm and our Breakfast with Santa events, Dec. 7, 13, 14, 20 & 21 at 8:30 & 10 am. 
 
Fountain Revitalization Project Talks
Oct. 19, & Nov. 9, 11 am & 1 pm
Get engaged in the Fountain Revitalization Project during brief talks from a Longwood expert. This short talk will highlight many aspects of the project including innovative technologies, exciting features, sensitive restoration, and enhanced horticulture of the future Main Fountain Garden.
Fountain Revitalization Project Talks are located in the Visitor Center Auditorium and are free with Gardens Admission. Space is limited.
Chrysanthemum Festival

Join us
Oct. 25Nov. 23

See our most intricate horticulture display showcasing the Asian tradition of cultivating chrysanthemums into artistic shapes. This year our conservatory is filled with over 80,000 chrysanthemum blooms grown into various forms including shields, spirals, cascades, balls, and chandeliers.
 
Be amazed by our most impressive display of all, the Thousand Bloom Mum, featuring more than 1,300 perfectly arranged flowers on one plant.

Make your Member reservation

A Longwood Christmas takes flight this year with our bird-inspired display Nov. 27Jan.11, 9 am10 pm. From elegant trees adorned with feathered friends, to a peacock-themed Masquerade Ball in our Music Room, our holiday season soars.

Members may visit anytime but require free reservations after 2 pm on Peak Days. Guests not included in a Membership require timed admission tickets.

Our Green Wall restrooms are finalists in Cintas Corporations' America's Best Restroom Competition.

Not only is each private restroom uniquely tucked into North America's largest green wall, but these restrooms are also environmentally efficient with natural lighting, heating, and cooling amenities. Vote to help us win America's Best Restroom through Oct. 31.
