Honoring culture and history at Torii Square Park

Torii Square Park in Historic Westminster transports visitors to a world more than 5,800 miles away. A large, red, gate-like structure commands attention, as flowering cherry trees radiate a serene, tranquil energy. This spring, Westminster Mayor Nancy McNally, and the Consul-General of Japan participated in a tree-planting ceremony at the park to honor a commitment the City of Westminster made nearly five decades ago.

Westminster Police Officer honors fallen officers

Westminster PD honors fallen officers

During National Police Week, Westminster Police Officer Adam Lanning joined 250 members of Police Unity Tour Chapter 7, who rode their bicycles for 250 miles in honor of fallen police officers. Officer Lanning rode in honor of Arvada Officer Gordon Beesley, who was killed in the line of duty on June 21, 2021.
