While I was disappointed that no one was able to check off "Dancing to Hall and Oats' 'You Make My Dreams Come True' (oo-oo. oo-oo.)," I was happy to hear that I wasn't the only one waiting for Amazon like a cast member of the Music Man waits for the Wells Fargo Wagon.

In case you didn't see the game card, there were a couple of "fill in the blank" spaces. Our favorite responses included "walking the dog many times," "fixing a remote control car for my kid," and finally, "my ears hurting from wearing earbuds to block out Minecraft." That one hits hard today as my child watches "Short Circuit 2" AGAIN today. That's right, it doesn't even have Guttenberg or Ally Sheedy.

Our parent organization, the Bethesda Urban Partnership (BUP) is conducting an online survey to ascertain your feelings about "returning to restaurants, retailers, and events in downtown Bethesda when we receive approval from Montgomery County to open."

Area Parkways such as Little Falls Parkway and Beach Drive will continue to be closed to vehicular traffic from Fridays at 9:00 am until Sundays at 6:00 pm so that pedestrians and cyclists may use them. The weekend closures, part of the department's Open Streets initiative, are expected to be in effect throughout the COVID-19 crisis. Click here for more information.

The Planning Department has released a map, entitled "I-270 Commute Patterns" as part of their Corridor Forward Plan. The Plan aims to "evaluate and prioritize potential transit options to serve residents living and working along the I-270 Corridor, the County’s major north-south transportation network." The map, which can be viewed here, displays information on where people live and work, how they are commuting to work, as well as their available travel options.
