Middle Class Scholarship

Dear Student,

Congratulations! The California Student Aid Commission has identified you as potentially eligible for the Middle Class Scholarship (MCS) for the 2025-2026 academic year.

What's Next?

Sacramento State is confirming your eligibility for the MCS award.
If you were awarded a provisional MCS, it will be removed from your account.
When your eligibility is confirmed, you will receive an updated Financial Aid Award Letter reflecting an MCS award based on full-time enrollment (12 units or more).
1. Students need to be enrolled in at least half-time (6 units) to qualify.

When Will My MCS Funds Disburse?

Full-time students (enrolled in 12+ units): Your MCS funds should disburse within two to three weeks of receiving your MCS award notification from the Financial Aid Office.

Part-time students (less than 12 units): Your MCS funds should be disbursed mid-October after your enrollment is reported.

Important Note: If you make changes to your enrollment after your MCS funds have been disbursed, you may be required to repay any funds for which you are no longer eligible.
