Social Action!
Taking Steps at the Convention

It is time for us to take action, and at the convention, that is what we will do!
Here are two projects that will take place.

Tzedakah Project

Our tzedakah project for the convention will benefit Circle of Hope. This organization, located in the Boston area, provides homeless children, women, and men with clothing and necessities in order to preserve and enhance overall health and personal dignity. We will  collect white crew socks for men and women, baby clothing in sizes preemie through 6 months, shampoo, conditioner, soap (bar or liquid), toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, body and hand lotion, and lip balm (e.g., ChapStick). All toiletries must be new and unopened. Travel-sized and full-sized are accepted. If you have any questions, please contact Carmen Holzman at cpholzman@comcast.net.

Comfort Blankets

October is Cancer Awareness Month, and our social action project at convention will reflect that. On Thursday night, October 25, we will make comfort blankets for cancer patients. After convention, the blankets will be distributed to patients receiving treatment at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Dana Farber Hospital in Boston.
