Gwinnett County Police Department Central Precinct Raises Funds for the Special Olympics

This past September 29, the Gwinnett County Police Department Central Precinct participated in Cops on Donut Shops to raise funds for Special Olympics Georgia. Starting at 5 a.m., Major Christopher Rafanelli and the officers of the Central Precinct collected donations at the newly renovated Dunkin’ Donuts located at 3725 Club Drive in the Gwinnett Place area to maximize community support. This event is part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run program designed to raise awareness and funds for the Special Olympics movement.

The Central Precinct has raised the most funds of all Gwinnett County’s precincts for three years in a row! (Congrats!) This year, they raised a total of $5,073. We thank the Central Precinct and Gwinnett County Police Department for their work in lighting the way for acceptance and inclusion in our district.
