"Fall" Into Bethesda!

Autumn is one of the most beautiful times of year in Downtown Bethesda! Don't miss out on seeing the leaves changing color. Get a peek at them by walk or biking to work, taking a walk on your lunch hour, or hopping on the Bethesda Circulator for a relaxing ride.
However you decide to take in the foliage, we ask that you stay safe! The clocks fall back this Sunday, November 4, which means it will be getting dark sooner. Along with your cool-weather layers, be sure to wear reflective gear so drivers can see you!

Bike or Carpool to the Polls!

If you didn't vote early in Maryland, you may be wondering how you can get to your polling place on Election Day (which is this Tuesday, November 6) without using your car.
Of course we have the answer to your question!
On Election Day, Capital Bikeshare is offering unlimited FREE 30-minute rides! You can unlock the pass with the Capital Bikeshare app and using the code BIKETOVOTE. Be sure to document your two-wheeled voting excursion with the hashtag #BikeToVote!
Also on Election Day, Uber and Lyft will be offering free and reduced-fare rides to polling locations. Be sure and ask your driver if they have voted!

Dockless Vehicles?

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation is considering a proposal that would expand the availability of dockless vehicles.
The vehicles are currently being testing in a pilot project in Silver Spring and Takoma Park. MCDOT is exploring the idea of putting them in other areas of the County as well.
You can take the survey about the expansion of dockless vehicles here.
If you need more information about the program, you may click here to read the Executive Summary of the MCDOT Dockless Bikeshare Evaluation Report, click here to see a flyer, or attend a public meeting tomorrow evening, Thursday, November 1, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Walter Johnson High School Cafeteria located at 6400 Rock Spring Drive in Bethesda.
