As you may know, Eleanor Cirelli, longtime Office Manager for the Utica/Rome Student Association (URSA), then SUNYIT Student Association (SA), passed away in December 2013. Our campus community remains deeply saddened by her loss.

To ensure that Eleanor's legacy will live on, current Student Association leaders launched a campaign to secure funds for the naming of the SA suite in the Student Center. As a result, we are happy to announce that nearly $14,000 has been contributed in Eleanor's memory to date.

On Saturday, September 27th at 11:00 a.m., as a part of our Wildcat Weekend homecoming activities, the Student Association Suite in the Student Center will be named for Eleanor Cirelli as a meaningful and lasting recognition of her dedication and hard work. All of the funds raised in her memory will be used to support scholarships for our students and a plaque bearing her name will be placed in the SA Suite.
