GRADUATE STUDENT SPOTLIGHT

Meet Anna Christensen!

Anna Christensen entered the American Studies program in Fall 2020 as a MA student.  She received her BA in English from the University of California, Irvine, with a minor in Humanities and Law.  Anna is interested in the relationships between literature, history, and culture, and the ways in which each of these affects the others.  She has also conducted research on the parallels between the American empire and empires of the past, and the implications that these similarities and differences may have upon the current state of US government and society.
