Reflecting On First Semester
From the excitement of starting school to the whirlwind of semester's end, it might be hard to believe fall is almost over. You studied, made friends, and expanded your horizons. In short, you became a college student!
As you take a well-earned rest this winter break, we hope you also reflect on memories, growth, and goals for next semester. Here is junior Environmental Studies and International Relations student Garrett Ordonez with thoughts on his first college semester:
As you head for that fall semester finish line, try out some questions to reflect on how far you've come:
- What did you enjoy the most about your first college semester?
- Which fall semester class was your favorite and why?
- What is one thing you wish you knew before starting college?
- Is there anything you wish you could do differently?
- How did you connect with your major? What about your major do you still wish to know?
Lastly, below are some things freshmen looked forward to at the beginning of this year. Now that we're on the cusp of a new semester, what are are you excited to experience next?
